Description
Amoxicillin is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract; for meningitis, genitourinary infections of the skin and soft tissues, gastrointestinal, biliary and in general for the treatment of diseases caused by sensitive bacteria.
The bacteria that most frequently present sensitivity to amoxicillin are: Haemophilus influenzae, Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. and typhi, Proteus mirabilis, Staphylococcus aureus and epidermidis, Streptococcus faecalis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Staphylococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus viridans, Peptococcus spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Helicobacter pylori and streptocosyl groups of B.
