® is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic with bactericidal action against a large number of Gram-positive and some Gram-negative microorganisms.
NAXIFELAR® is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by the following strains: Streptococcus pyogenes, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Corynebacterium diphteriae, Streptococcus viridians, Streptococcus faecalis, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Proteus morllaonii, Saligeiteria menainella, Neissemonella, Neissemonellaing E. coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus faecalis. Several strains of Haemophilus influenzae are susceptible.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa is not usually susceptible to Cephalexin.
The infections that can most commonly be managed when caused by microorganisms susceptible to Cephalexin are the following:
Urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, middle ear, respiratory tract, gynecological, obstetric, bone infections, dental infections, syphilis and gonorrhea.
