Description
POSIPEN® exerts its bactericidal action against most Staphylococcus and Streptococcus.
It is indicated in: tonsillitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, bronchopneumonia, pneumonia with multiple foci, even in their serious complications, such as empyemas, pyoneumothorax with or without pneumatoceles, and lung abscesses caused by Staphylococcus aureus, including penicillinase producers.
It is also indicated in a wide variety of skin and soft tissue infections such as: impetigo, bullous impetigo, furunculosis, pyoderma, cellulitis, hydrosadenitis, scalded skin syndrome (Lyell syndrome and Ritter’s disease) and Staphylococcus infected wounds. Also, in septic arthritis, osteomyelitis and pyomyositis.
It can also be used in orrodentomaxillary infections caused by Gram positive germs such as Staphylococcus and Streptococcus that cause gingivitis, periapical abscesses, pericoronitis, maxillomandibular osteomyelitis and periodontal infections.
