Generalized epilepsy, particularly the myoclonic, atonic, and atonicokinetic varieties.
Clonazepam is indicated for the treatment of panic disorder with and without agoraphobia. Simple and social phobia, specific phobia. Generalized anxiety disorder. Insomnia.
Clonazepam is indicated for the treatment of epilepsy as a first-line medicine in typical absences (previously called petit mal), atypical absences (Lennox-Gastaut syndrome), myoclonic seizures and atonic seizures (falling syndrome), as a second-line agent in spasms infantile (West syndrome) and as a third-line agent in tonic-clonic seizures (formerly called grand mal), simple and complex partial seizures, and secondary generalized tonic-clonic seizures.
