Description

ZATHELO® should be used as a supplement to the diet, when the response to diet and exercise is not sufficient.

Prevention of cardiovascular events:

ZATHELO® is indicated in adult patients with an increased risk of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease based on the presence of risk markers of cardiovascular disease, such as elevated level of CRP, age, arterial hypertension, low level of HDL-C, smoking or history relatives of premature coronary artery disease. ZATHELO® is indicated to reduce total mortality and the risk of major cardiovascular events (cardiovascular death, stroke, myocardial infarction, unstable angina or arterial revascularization).

In adult patients with hypercholesterolemia:

ZATHELO® reduces elevated LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol and triglycerides and increases HDL cholesterol (HDL-C) in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (heterozygous familial and non-familial) and mixed dyslipidemia (including Fredrickson types lla and llb ). ZATHELO® also reduces apoB-non-HDL-cholesterol, VLDL-cholesterol, VLDL-TG, as well as the indices of LDL-C / HDL-C, total cholesterol / HDL-C, non-HDL-C / HDL-C, apoB / apoA- I and increases apoA-I in these populations.

ZATHELO® is indicated in patients with primary dysbetalipoproteinemia (Fredrickson hyperlipoproteinemia type III).

ZATHELO® is indicated for the treatment of isolated hypertriglyceridaemia (Fredrickson hyperlipidemia type IV).

ZATHELO® reduces total cholesterol and LDL-C in patients with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia, either alone or as an adjunct to diet and other lipid-lowering treatments (eg, LDL apheresis).

ZATHELO® slows or reduces the progression of atherosclerosis.

Children and adolescents 10 to 17 years of age:

ZATHELO® is indicated to reduce total cholesterol, LDL-C and apo B in patients with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia (HeFH).
