Description
Pioglitazone is an oral antidiabetic agent.
It is indicated as an adjunct drug to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, either as monotherapy, or in combination therapy with insulin, when diet, exercise and monotherapy do not achieve adequate control of blood glucose.
