Description

This medicine is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus, in which blood glucose concentrations cannot be adequately controlled with diet, physical exercise and weight loss. This medicine can be combined with other oral, non-betacytotropic antidiabetics and can also be given together with insulin.

This medicine is not appropriate for the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus (for example, for the treatment of diabetics with a history of ketoacidosis or diabetic coma).
