NEXIUM ESOMEPRAZOLE 2.5MG FOR DELAYED

Description

NEXIUM® is indicated in:

Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD):

• Treatment of erosive reflux esophagitis.

• Prevent relapses in the long-term treatment of healed esophagitis.

• Symptomatic treatment of GERD.

Patients requiring sustained (or continuous) therapy with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs):

• Treatment of upper gastrointestinal symptoms associated with NSAID therapy.

• Healing of gastric ulcers associated with NSAID therapy, including COX-2 selective NSAIDs.

• Prevention in patients at risk of gastric and duodenal ulcers associated with NSAID therapy, including COX-2 selective NSAIDs.

Eradication of H. pylori in combination with appropriate antibiotics:

• Healing of a duodenal ulcer associated with H. pylori.

• Prevent relapses in patients with H. pylori-associated peptic ulcers.

As a continuation of treatment with NEXIUM® IV: Maintenance of hemostasis and prevention of rebleeding of gastric or duodenal ulcers.
