Product Description:
AMOEBRIZ JR Oral Suspension is a combination medication that contains 60 mg of Mebendazole and 20 mg of Quinfamide per 10 mL. This pediatric oral suspension is designed to treat a range of intestinal parasitic infections in children, including both intestinal worm infestations and amoebiasis.
- Mebendazole is an anthelmintic that effectively treats common intestinal worms like roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms by preventing the worms from absorbing glucose, ultimately causing them to die and be expelled from the body.
- Quinfamide is a potent antiprotozoal agent that targets Entamoeba histolytica, the parasite responsible for amoebic dysentery and other amoeba-related infections.
Indications:
- Treatment of intestinal worm infections, including roundworms (Ascaris lumbricoides), hookworms (Ancylostoma duodenale, Necator americanus), and whipworms (Trichuris trichiura).
- Treatment of amoebiasis caused by Entamoeba histolytica.
How It Works:
- Mebendazole: Inhibits the ability of parasites to absorb nutrients, leading to their death.
- Quinfamide: Disrupts the life cycle of Entamoeba histolytica, effectively eliminating the infection.
