Description
Treatment of hypertriglyceridaemia alone or in combination (dyslipidemias types IIa, IIb, IV, as well as dyslipidemias types III and V) in patients without response to dietary measures and other types of non-pharmacological therapeutic measures (for example, weight reduction or increased physical activity ), particularly when there is evidence of associated risk, such as hypertension and smoking.
Treatment of secondary hyperlipoproteinemia is indicated when hyperlipoproteinemia persists, despite effective treatment of the underlying disease (eg, dyslipidemia in diabetes mellitus).
Indicated to reduce the progression of non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
