$4.91

It is a high-potency antibiotic that combines amoxicillin with clavulanate to treat bacterial infections, including those resistant to amoxicillin alone. It is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and skin infections. It is effective for short-term therapy as directed by a doctor

Description

Amoxicillin / Clavulanic Acid is a beta-lactam antibiotic associated with a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This synergy allows amoxicillin to increase its therapeutic spectrum by making bacteria such as methicillin-sensitive S. aureus, Moraxella catarralis, N. gonorrhoeae, H. influenzae, E. coli, P. mirabilis, K. pneumonie, and B. fragilis sensitive to the Asociation.

GIMACLAV can be used in the following cases:

Upper respiratory tract infections (including ear and nose):

• Tonsillitis.

• Pharyngitis.

• Sinusitis.

• Otitis media.

Lower respiratory tract infections:

• Acute and chronic bronchitis.

• Lobar pneumonia and bronchopneumonia.

Urinary tract infections:

• Cystitis.

• Urethritis (gonococcal).

• Pyelonephritis.

Other infections:

• Skin and soft tissue infections.

• Intra-abdominal sepsis.

• Osteomyelitis.

• Septic abortion.

• Dental abscess.

And in any infection produced by germs susceptible to the drug. It is important to note that an antibiogram that indicates resistance to amoxicillin should not be taken as an indication of resistance to GIMACLAV, since the addition of clavulanic acid gives it activity against beta-lactamase-producing microorganisms.
