MITAFAR is an oral suspension containing 100 mg of Nitazoxanide per 5 mL, specially formulated for the treatment of intestinal parasitic infections in children. This 60 mL single-dose suspension provides effective relief from protozoal infections, including those caused by Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia.

Description

Acute intestinal amebiasis or amoebic dysentery caused by Entamoeba histolytica. Treatment of giardiasis caused by Giardia lamblia.

Helminthiasis: Nitazoxanide is an effective anthelmintic against nematodes, cestodes and trematodes, indicated for the treatment of Enterobius vermicularis, Ascaris lumbricoides and Strongyloides stercoralis, Necator americanus, Ancylostoma duodenale, Trichuris trichiura, Taenia nicapatiumis, Taenia nenapaticata, Taenia nicapatium Isospora belli, Cryptosporidium parvum, amoebic liver abscess. Nitazoxanide is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic trichomoniasis in women and men with confirmed presence of Trichomonas vaginalis in the laboratory. Asymptomatic trichomoniasis, when the organism is associated with endocervicitis, cervicitis and cervical erosions. In the asymptomatic sexual partner, since vaginal trichomoniasis is considered a sexually transmitted disease; the sexual partner must be treated simultaneously.

MITAFAR Pediatric Oral Suspension (Nitazoxanide 100 mg/5 mL)

MITAFAR Pediatric Oral Suspension is a targeted treatment designed to manage intestinal protozoal infections in children. Each 5 mL contains 100 mg of Nitazoxanide, an antiparasitic agent effective against a wide range of protozoal infections, including those caused by Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia.

Indications:

  • Treatment of diarrhea caused by protozoal infections, particularly Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia.

How It Works:

  • Nitazoxanide: Acts by inhibiting essential enzymatic pathways within protozoa, preventing their growth and reproduction, leading to their elimination.

Dosage and Administration:
