Description
RINELON® is indicated for the treatment of the symptoms of intermittent or persistent allergic rhinitis (previously classified as seasonal or perennial) according to the new classification proposed by the ARIA guidelines (Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma, for its acronym in English) of adult patients, adolescents and children from 2 years of age. In patients with a history of moderate to severe symptoms of intermittent allergic rhinitis, prophylactic treatment with RINELON® is recommended for two to four weeks before the expected start of the pollen season.
Product Description:
Nasonex Nasal Spray is an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid containing Mometasone Furoate 0.05%. It is designed to treat symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis and nasal polyps. By reducing inflammation in the nasal passages, it provides effective relief from symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes. Nasonex is also used to treat nasal polyps, improving airflow and reducing swelling.
Indications:
- Seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis: Helps reduce symptoms such as sneezing, nasal congestion, runny nose, and itchy or watery eyes.
- Nasal polyps: Reduces the size of nasal polyps, alleviating nasal congestion and improving breathing.
How It Works:
Mometasone Furoate works by reducing the inflammation in the nasal passages. It blocks inflammatory chemicals (such as histamine) that are responsible for triggering allergic reactions, helping to alleviate symptoms and improve airflow.
Dosage and Administration:
- Recommended Dose:
- Adults and children aged 12 years and older: 1-2 sprays in each nostril once daily.
- Children aged 2-11 years: Typically 1 spray in each nostril once daily (as prescribed).
- Shake the bottle gently before use and prime the spray if using it for the first time.
- Follow the prescribed dosage for consistent results.
Precautions:
- For nasal use only.
- Do not use if allergic to Mometasone or any of its components.
- Consult a healthcare provider before use if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking other medications.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Avoid spraying into eyes or mouth.
Storage Instructions:
- Store at room temperature (15°C-25°C).
- Keep the bottle tightly closed when not in use.
