Description

VALIUM® is indicated for the symptomatic relief of anxiety, tension and other discomforts associated with anxiety syndrome. It can also be useful as an adjunct to the treatment of anxiety or nervousness associated with psychiatric disorders.

VALIUM® is useful in the treatment of muscle spasms (including tetanus) and reflexes due to local trauma (wounds, inflammation). It can also be used to combat spasticity resulting from damage to the spinal and supraspinal interneurons, as in cerebral palsy and paraplegia, as well as in athetosis and stiff shoulder syndrome.

Benzodiazepines are only indicated when the disorder is severe, disabling, or subject to extreme stress.
