Description
Furosemide is indicated as a diuretic in cases of fluid retention and / or edema caused by acute heart failure, liver disease, nephropathy, pulmonary edema and as an adjunct to cerebral edema. It is also indicated in edema from burns.
Along with other therapies, furosemide is used in the control of hypertensive crises and as an aid in poisoning by promoting diuresis.
